Rev. Dr. Lil Smith is a Director of Retreat House Spirituality Center, a Teaching Elder in the Presbyterian Church USA, and is a trained and experienced spiritual director, supervisor, and retreat leader in the Dallas/Fort Worth, TX Metroplex. She earned a Doctor of Ministry (2018) with an emphasis in spiritual direction and a Master of Divinity (2011) at Perkins School of Theology in Dallas, a Diploma in the Art of Spiritual Direction (DASD, 2011) at San Francisco Theological Seminary, and Certification as a Supervisor for Spiritual Directors with Together in the Mystery (2015). Lil teaches the practicum year in the Certification in Spiritual Direction at Perkins School of Theology and co-teaches Dallas supervision training with Maria Tattu Bowen at Together in the Mystery.  

Lil’s passion is noticing and naming Presence in daily life.  She incorporates the GPS as a tool to identify spaces to grow in the spiritual life.  She meets with directees and supervisees at Retreat House, via telephone or via ZOOM meeting.
